Sound familiar?

You're planning one of the most meaningful events of your family's life. And somehow you're managing it across three spreadsheets, a stack of sticky notes, a group text that won't stop, and a folder full of vendor emails you can't find when you need them.

You're tracking who got an invitation and who still hasn't RSVPed. You're trying to build a seating chart that keeps the right people together and the wrong people apart. You're chasing down sweatshirt sizes and kippah counts. You're juggling deposits, contracts, and payment deadlines across a dozen vendors.

There's a better way.

Everything You Need to Plan Your Simcha

From first save-the-date to final thank-you note, SimchaKit keeps every detail organized and accessible.

Guest Management

Track households, individuals, and RSVPs across every sub-event. Manage dietary needs, formal names for invitations, and addresses. Import your list from a CSV and export when it's time to send to your invitation vendor. The catering summary rolls up meal choices and dietary counts so your caterer gets one clean sheet.

Vendors and Budget

Store vendor contacts, contracts, and payment schedules in one place. Track deposits, balances, and due dates. Monitor expenses by category with the Budget Insights chart showing paid vs. outstanding at a glance, plus estimated vs. actual tracking and a built-in gratuity calculator for service staff.

Event Planning and Tasks

Manage your full to-do list with due dates, categories, and completion tracking. Log gifts as they arrive and track thank-you notes so nothing falls through the cracks between now and your simcha.

Day-of Coordination

Build your seating chart, assign guests to tables, and let Auto-Seat handle the gaps. Manage ceremony roles and access vendor contacts on the fly. When it's time to celebrate, switch to Day-of Mode: a focused mobile view with your run of show, next-up timeline, and key contacts, all from your phone.

Plan Together

Invite co-planners to your event as editors or viewers with a one-tap email invite. See who's online with real-time presence indicators. Add a Ritual Coordinator for clergy or a tutor who sees only the Ceremony and Prep tabs. Up to five collaborators per event, covered by your purchase at no extra cost.

Your Dashboard, at a Glance

The Overview shows where things stand: completion rings for RSVPs, budget, tasks, and vendors, plus a "What Needs You Next" focus panel that surfaces missing addresses, overdue tasks, and upcoming deadlines. Generate a shareable PDF brief or print a summary for your planning binder.

Who is it for?

SimchaKit is built for families planning bar and bat mitzvahs, weddings, and Jewish lifecycle celebrations of any kind. If you are coordinating guests, vendors, budgets, and logistics for a simcha, SimchaKit is for you.

Do my guests need accounts?

No. SimchaKit is for the event organizer only. Your guests never need to log in, download anything, or create an account. You manage everything on their behalf.

Can multiple family members manage a simcha?

Yes. SimchaKit supports up to five collaborators per event as Editors (full planning access) or Viewers (read-only), invited by email or shareable link. You can also add a Ritual Coordinator, such as clergy or a tutor, who sees only the Ceremony and Prep tabs and does not count toward the five. Collaborators are covered by your purchase at no extra cost.

Is it mobile-friendly?

Yes. SimchaKit works on any device: desktop, tablet, or phone. The Day-of Mode is designed specifically for mobile use on the day of your event.

Can I export my data?

Yes. SimchaKit lets you export your guest list, seating chart, and other data at any time. Your data is always yours. Export it whenever you need it, in formats you can open in Excel or any spreadsheet tool.

Can I import my existing guest list?

Yes. SimchaKit supports CSV import from spreadsheets and popular RSVP platforms including Evite, Google Contacts, and others. If you already have a guest list, you can bring it in without starting from scratch.

Is my data secure?

Yes. SimchaKit is built on Supabase, which uses industry-standard encryption and security practices. Your guest list, vendor contacts, and event details are stored securely and never shared with third parties.

About the Developer

SimchaKit was built by Ryan Brook of Brook Creative LLC. While planning his own family's bat mitzvah, Ryan found himself managing guests, vendors, budgets, and seating charts across six spreadsheets, a dedicated email folder, and too many sticky notes. He built SimchaKit to replace the chaos with one organized system, and kept building because every Jewish family planning a simcha potentially faces the same problem.

SimchaKit is actively used to plan a real bat mitzvah. Every feature exists because it was needed.
